Often placed into sections of fence or against a blank wall, these simple cedar-framed boards are sealed for protection from the elements. The boards make excellent canvases for murals and can be washed if tempera paint is used. Mural paper can be affixed to the wall using simple pins so that the art can be brought inside after completion.
**Please note that all art walls are shipped with a clean slate – it will come pre-painted in green exterior paint. Custom murals like the one shown can be commissioned from our resident artist, Debbe Shannon. Please contact us for details.

The size of the art wall allows children to have a great range of motion when creating art, as the art wall is 4 feet tall and 8 feet wide. The large panel allows children to create art parallel, jointly or cooperatively with each other. For children with core balance issues, using the art panel is a subtle way to support their goals. For a more directed approach, the large size of the art wall allows children to walk, skip, hop and/or run alongside while creating art, providing a variety of sensory experiences. This component can be installed as a fence panel, or at different heights to accommodate wheelchair access.
