The fat rope attached to boulders provides balancing and vestibular opportunities. Core strength muscles are engaged to assist in this balancing activity. Children can also jump over the rope, promoting proprioceptive input, and swing on it while lying on their stomachs, providing vestibular involvement. Climbing the boulders also provides great practice for coordination of the upper and lower extremities as the children have to figure out where to place their hands and feet.
